If you wanted a quick Ford full-size in 1966, the Galaxie 7-Litre was the car to get. It was exactly what the badge suggested, a 7.0L engine (either the 428 or the rarely optioned 427) in a really big car. Unfortunately, the cool 7-litre badges didn’t last long and these large engine cars went back to being just plane old Galaxies with a killer engine. Low awareness and reasonably high production numbers have kept prices down, making this a good car for someone who wants a fast land yacht but isn’t necessarily concerned with investment.
