6262cc/949hp hybrid V-12, red calipers, Scuderia shields, carbon fiber hardtop.

Market commentary
Nearly tripling in value in eight years is pretty impressive, but it's only the kind of thing that super limited-production, invite-only cars like this do. Ferrari built 499 LaFerraris and 210 open Apertas for select customers. Naturally, the rarer and roofless version of the hybrid hypercar is worth more, and while coupe versions show up at auction somewhat regularly, only a handful of Apertas have ever sold at auction before, and this black and red one is now the most expensive. Well, technically one has sold for more (€8,300,000 in 2017), but proceeds for that one went to charity.
