Equipment
318/150hp, automatic, power steering and brakes, Rallye wheels with trim rings, column shift, bench seat, dash clock, aftermarket radio, rear spoiler.
Condition
A professionally painted car with no obvious flaws. Unrestored underbody with dealership undercoating. Bumpers have been re-chromed and look very good. Brightwork is original and in very good condition. Engine bay is clean with light restoration. Original interior could use a light detailing but everything is complete and sound. Aftermarket speakers installed in the door panels. A well maintained, largely original car that's enjoyed the kind of treatment usually reserved for cars with hotter equipment.
Market commentary
With high impact colors and a spoiler, this car certainly looks like pure American muscle even if it has a choked 318 under the hood. It's also probably one of the better '72 Chargers to be found anywhere. The bidders put more value on the appearance than the performance, which ended up with this expensive result.
