Equipment
CLK55AMG without an official car card and a letter attached to the windshield from Sylvester Stallone stating the car was a gift from AMG and Formula 1 boss Bernie Eccleston. Reportedly built as one of five pace cars, with a modified engine, suspension, exhaust, wheels and tires. AMG wheels, Sparco leather covered seats with Sabelt harnesses for driver and passenger. The car appeared like any 18,000 mile well preserved Mercedes is expected to look.
Market commentary
Without knowing the extent of the modifications and using the number of $55,000 as market price for a stock CLK55AMG the high bid here is entirely appropriate. Slys agents disagreed and the car did not sell.
