Equipment
2936cc/760hp, 5-speed, OZ wheels, Michelin Pilot Sport racing tires, adjustable rear wing.
Condition
The 14th of 19 built by Michelotto. Ferrari Classiche certified in 2009. No race history to speak of, but has been regularly exercised in historic events and maintained. With nearly 300 more horsepower than a stock F40 road car, it must be exciting. Paint, headlight covers and side windows show a little bit of age. The bare carbon fiber rear lip is also slightly yellowed but for the most part it’s a great presentation.
Market commentary
F40s aren't super-rare given that Ferrari built over 1300 of them, but just 19 were prepared to "LM" specs by engineering firm Michelotto. The last time we saw an LM-spec car at auction was in 2019, and it sold for a little more than half what this car sold for in 2025. It's one of just three cars to sell for eight figures this year and even a perfect regular-spec F40 would struggle to sell for a third as much.
