Market commentary
That original window sticker reads $13,502, about 33 grand in today’s money, and back in 1989 it bought you a very quick car but certainly not the quickest on the road. In 2023, $192,500 will buy you almost any level of performance you want aside from a few boutique exotics. But owning this 34-year-old car with 225hp isn’t about performance for the money. It’s about having the cleanest, most “wrapper” example of a Fox-body Saleen. And the new owner here paid a lot of money for those bragging rights.
