Condition
#3 Good
Runs and drives well. Flaws not noticeable to passersby. Most common condition.
From the Sheikh collection. Built in the second-to-last year in the Countach's incredible decade-and-a-half production run. Unrestored, showing 16,021 km (9,955 miles). Plenty of scratches, both in the paint on the nose and in the bulky US-spec plastic front bumper. Several blisters and blemishes in the rear wing. The badges on the tail don't quite fit tight on the body. Good, lightly worn interior. Represented with service records. Cool colors. Certainly not the worst Countach out there, but certainly not the best.
Market commentary
You might think it was the world's best by seeing this price, however. For a slightly better than driver-quality Countach, this is seriously expensive and a big bonus for the seller. According to Mecum this car is a match to a poster that seller Asi Sheikh had on his wall as a child, so we can only assume that the new owner had the very same poster. It was offered at Mecum Monterey in 2016 where it was bid to $325,000 but not sold; apparently no one there had the poster.
