RHD 1985 Excel used by Lotus for development and demonstration of active suspension (pulls 1.2g), rebodied as SE in 91. Pedalled by various famous people in showoffs and road tests. Ex Lotus Museum in used press car condition.

Market commentary

Chapman is best known for his great handling cars and active suspension is the ultimate development. For that, this unique example brought an appropriate premium, but the buyer will need a fleet of engineers to keep it working.
