Equipment

Raced by Patrick Tambay in 1983, 5th at Brazil, DNF at Long Beach, 4th at France, winner at San Marino, 4th at Monaco, 2nd at Belgium, DNF at Detroit, 3rd at Canada. Given to Tambay after the season, acquired by the present owner in 1987. 1.5 liter V6, twin turbos, 600bhp, 5 speed. Thick paint. Engine is RTR not RT show. Bought by the consignor from Tambay at Brooks Monaco in 1990. Ferrari Classiche certified.

Market commentary

It is challenging to get much use out of these 600bhp turbos and this is plenty to pay for the challenge. It is instructive to compare this result with that for the recent Massa, Barrichello and Schumacher cars. Ferrari has made the recent F1 car ownership experience exciting, enjoyable and, for Ferrari, very lucrative.
