Equipment
Stated to be the prototype QV, stolen from Ferrari in 1981, later auctioned off to a Corsican dealer to settle the affairs of a Marseille gangster who sold it to the present owner. He had it serviced in Belgium, they asked the factory about parts and the ensuing litigation consumed 18 months. Magnesium block. Original throughout, except for the big PROTOTIPO stenciled on the sills, and in decent condition with only 38,000 km.
Market commentary
With regular 308 GTS QVs bringing $30 40,000 an original example with 38K km for this price is a good value. The wonderful story adds conversation starting value as well.
