Equipment
Fiat 850 mechanicals, store brand tires, hub caps, bucket seats, floor shift, radio, stainless exhaust with resonator, fiberglass body.
Condition
Good paint. Like new top. Excellent new upholstery and carpets. Slightly dull original dash. Tidy original engine bay. Rotisserie restoration finished earlier this year. One of 80 produced by Baldo Baldi in Italy. Like a Jolly, a dune buggy and a Mini Moke all rolled into one, but rarer than all three.
Market commentary
It might have a kit car look to it with its basic lines molded out of fiberglass, but this sold as a complete car and was all Fiat underneath rather than VW. It's not the most attractive thing on four wheels and the new owner technically didn't get a lot of car for the money, but when you look at what a Fiat Jolly costs and consider how many conversations this oddball El Sabry will start, it's a darn good value.
