Equipment
Reportedly once the personal vehicle of Algirdas Brazauskas, Chairman of the Lithuanian Communist Party Central Committee and later President of Lithuania. Decent repaint but pitted old chrome trim and thin hubcap chrome. Sound interior. Early Thursday. No Reserve.
Market commentary
Pronounce Chaika and imagine youre from Boston and it sounds just like Checker, which is what this is in all but country of origin. And a Checker built from Russian materials and standards of workmanship makes a Checker built in Kalamazoo look like a Cadillac. Still, its new owner is unlikely to come upon another one in the U.S. anytime soon and it probably has a ready lease market as a movie car (although a dressed up Checker would be more reliable.) The price it brought is very high, no matter whats intended for it.
