Equipment

RHD. Factory raced in 72 and 73, then to Rosso et Bianco. Redman, Merzario, Ickx, Regazzoni and Pace all drove it with plenty of success but never a win. Cosmetically restored but otherwise as raced and in need of comprehensive re commissioning and race preparation before seeing historic race action.

Market commentary

Apparently the factory called all these cars 312 P. The wisdom of hindsight added the B for the last Boxer engined cars. Wonderful, charismatic cars that were a great success on the track, the 312 PB is also a shingle shaped modern race car that doesnt affect onlookers with the same awe as a 330 P3 or P4. 312 PBs values reflect this difference, as this reported high bid indicates. Brooks reports that this car was sold subsequent to the auction for $1,450,000.
