Equipment
The VIN code identifies this Charger as powered by the 400 255hp 383 (not a 440 as cataloged), 4 speed with pistol grip shifter, bench seat, AM FM, P S, no P B, styled wheels. Good repaint, otherwise origil and in sound, presentable condition appropriate to the 48,158 miles showing on the odometer. Clean and tidy throughout, old undercoat on chassis. No Reserve.
Market commentary
The 383 had grown to 400 cubic inches even as rated net power plummetted to 255hp. This Charger SE is a relic of the Near Muscle Car era and one of only 142 reportedly built in 72 with the 4 speed. The bidders at Keels & Wheels liked it, but they probably liked it as a 440, not as the bored out 383 that it really is, to judge from the price paid.
