Equipment

Atmo 4,998cc flat 12, 660hp. Jo Sifferts 71 Can Am turbopanzer with good results agains the McLarens, then to Willi Kauhsen in 72 for the Interserie. Restored by factory technicians with support from the Porsche museum but without the turbos that gave it over 1,000hp in the Can Am. Still owned by Kauhsen, with a fair assortment of spares. Race ready.

Market commentary

At half the value of a Le Mans or Daytona 917 this open top 917 has an excellent history and is at least driveable by persons of less than Schumacher like reflexes and super sensitivity. It will do itself proud at any Can Am gathering and give the sporty car fans something to cheer for against the Detroit Iron.
