Equipment
Fuchs wheels, Michelin tires, gold brightwork, Blaupunkt pushbutton radio, VDO dash clock, air conditioning, original owner's manual and keys, Euro license plate brackets.
Condition
Represented as matching numbers with a Porsche CofA. Very high quality paint but with a huge crack on the engine cover. Clean engine bay. Very good interior. Bought new in Florida, then restored in Europe and hardly used since.
Market commentary
The muddy color is typical of the early 70's and brought many positive recollections from onlookers. The presentation is impossible to fault (aside from the engine cover crack, which is a straightforward fix for a competent body shop). The price it brought, as well as RM Sotheby's pre-sale estimate, is a good indication of where early 911 values are, and where they're going.
