Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Boss 429 375hp Cobra Jet Ram Air engine, C6 automatic, AM FM, A C, tilt wheel. Marti Report, original invoice and movie directors letter document the vehicle as driven by Sean Connery and Jill St John in the 1970 James Bond movie Diamonds are Forever. Body is straight. Paint, chrome and bright work are good. Interior and glass are in great shape. Standard wheels with dog dish hub caps accented by trim rings have repro whitewall tires. Cosmetically maintained in good condition. A real sleeper.

Market commentary

Calculating the added value of increased value because a car was owned by someone famous, or was driven in a movie is difficult. Bidding stopped at $22,000, barely enough for a clean and largely original Boss 351. Its laughable for this 429 movie star.
