Equipment

LHD. Factory team rally car driven by Hannu Mikkola in the 1971 Safari Rally. ZF 5 speed, 5.1 limited slip axle, full cage, Minilite alloys, Halda Twin Master, 1840cc engine, rhino bars, rally lights and all the right stuff. Recently restored to 71 specs with excellent cosmetics and recently run in the 2003 Circuit of Wales event.

Market commentary

This must set some sort of record for an Escort, even a Twin Cam, but with its history and presentation to say nothing of its suitability for historic rally events its still a reasonable price. Lack of suitable events in the US, however, limits the attractiveness of ex rally cars in this market.
