Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Borrani wire wheels, A C, P W. Formerly owned by Mel and Noel Blanc, believed to have been cut by Straman, engine rebuilt for the Blancs with high compression pistons. 36,203 miles from new. Apparently original except for the chop job and resulting cosmetic work. Fastidiously maintained by the present owner and in clean, sharp condition with expected patina. Sound paint and excellent interior. Needs nothing.

Market commentary

Whats up, Doc This cut Daytona is inexpensive by any standard, and sold for relatively little more than it brought at the disposition of the Blancs collection at Christies Pebble Beach in 1997: $145,500 in essentially the same condition and with only 2,000 or so fewer miles. It should need nothing to be driven and enjoyed and is a very good value at this price.
