RHD. 1971 London Motor Show display car, two owners from new, 2,880 miles and like new. Complete unused tool kit, original factory invoice, original tires and spare, books, manuals, records and even the clock setting instruction tag. A C. 1st owner Mr. W. Headlam, thru two dealers, West Kent Motor Company and D.C.M., to present owner in 1978 with 2,500 miles. Stored at a Ferrari dealer, regularly started and recently recommissioned needing only front brake hoses and carb gaskets. Time capsule.
Market commentary
A huge price for a Daytona, but hardly out of line for an essentially brand new 32 year old Daytona that has been carefully preserved. A photo of this car should appear in the dictionary of British car slang next to the term cosseted. It would define the word succinctly and accurately.
