Equipment
Fuchs wheels, Bosch fuel injection, gold brightwork, Blaupunkt AM/FM radio, VDO dash clock.
Condition
#3 Good
Runs and drives well. Flaws not noticeable to passersby. Most common condition.
Porsche CoA. Represented with less than 1,000 miles on restoration. Represented as matching numbers. Powder coated suspension. Gaps are uneven around the engine cover and doors. Paint coming off of the lug nuts and the wheels look a little bit tired. Underbody looks very good and so does the paint other than a few small chips. Restored interior is very good. Original dash and gauges left alone. Not perfect, but an attractive, usable 911S.
Market commentary
Hammered not sold at $120,000 at RM Monterey in 2013. This time around, the $160,000 reported high bid was about right and probably should have seen the car off to a new home. 911 values aren't rising anymore, so taking your time and holding out doesn't offer the same rewards it used to.
