Equipment
Considered the ultimate Olds muscle car, this example was very well documented had all the right stuff starting with the W25 hood featuring twin scoop Ram Air induction, TT coded 455 370hp engine and Turbo Hydramatic 400 with Hurst Dual Gate shifter. Red inner front fenders, proper gauges and interior appointments. Body work was extremely sharp with no detectable flaws in fit or finish, well presented at the sale, generated a lot of interest, under sides as nice as the top, under the hood have everything down to stamps on the firewall to hose clamps in place and looking concours ready. Undersides just as nice on the top, and the soft top fit snug but didnt pull up on the sides. Restored like new.
Market commentary
The seller got about the best money available when the hammer came down on this car although two or three years ago it might have been in the $110 $120K range. While still better than money in the stock market, it is a risk one runs when looking strictly at the investment value, this car deserves to be driven, and driven well on rare occasions, by the new lucky owner.
