Market commentary
Series II E-Type values were brought up by the surge in interest for earlier cars, but driver quality examples like this one are still well under six figures, and the reported high bid was a reasonable one and could have been taken without regret, having been bought at Auctions America's Santa Monica sale two months ago for $79,750. There is only a dubious chance of a profit in a mediocre, common car like this when it was acquired for a full price as this one was.
