Equipment
429/375hp, 4-speed, Magnum 500 wheels, Polyglas GT tires, 3.91 Traction-Lok, power steering, power brakes, Philco AM radio, Marti report, Hurst T-handle shifter.
Condition
Restored from 2007-10. This is the better of the two Boss 429s in the sale, and the car arguably looks cleaner without the fussiness of a rear spoiler and window slats. Engine bay is lightly used but all restored. Very good chrome. Very good high quality paint. Factory gaps. Very good like new interior. Very lightly used and looks like a fresher restoration than it is. It edges out the blue Boss 429 next to it noticeably, although both look sharp.
Market commentary
No-saled at Kissimmee earlier this year at the same bid, it's arguable that a car this good deserves closer to $300,000, but the evidence doesn't support that conclusion. Buyers speak with their wallets, and they've spoken now twice.
