Market commentary
Reported sold ina post block transaction by RM at Monterey in 2000 for $1,320,000, then by the present owner at Monterey in 2005 for $1,947,000. It has been carefully (it might be a little too condescending to call sympathetically) kept in the same condition, so the results are directly comparable. 2.4 million dollars would, have made the sellers whole even after commissions. Since it served as the lead consignment for this auction it is unlikely the consignors incurred much if any cost beyond that. If even that.
