Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Chrome spoke Borranis, A C, Grundig radio, two sets of tools, concealed electronic ignition. Cut and chassis reinforced by Bachelli & Villa, interior by Luppi. Excellent older paint, interior, dash and glass; essentially new in all respects aside from the fact that its not a Daytona Spyder.

Market commentary

This Daytona Spyder conversion is in essentially the same condition as when it crossed the block at Rick Coles Monterey auction in 1992, a no sale at $180,000. Daytona berlinetta values have ramped up; cut Spyders like this seem to have lagged, once the Dollar Euro dislocation is taken into account. This is a fair price in Euros, but expensive in USDollars.
