Market commentary
This is an I want to show off price. but showing off with this Firebird is going to be a challenge. Being the first Van Nuys built Firebird is a pretty limited distinction and there are plenty of cars that show off more distinctively for this kind of money. The buyer paid at least $40,000 more than this Fire Chicken was worth for the dubious distinction of its first ness. That is money to invest in something as fleeting as bragging rights.
