Equipment
400/360hp, 4-speed, limited slip, power steering, headers, SS I wheels, Firestone Wide Oval Tires, Hurst shifter, bucket seats, AM radio, gauge package, documented with the build sheet, Protect-O-Plate and dealer sale report.
Condition
Great repaint in original color. Window trim is pitted and scratched. Taillight lenses are old and faded. The engine is correct and clean and the underbody has been detailed. The seats appear to be recovered while some interior components look original. Not fully restored, but has gotten significant attention and represented as the original engine and transmission with 54,383 original miles.
Market commentary
Offered at Mecum's Chicago auction three months ago where it was reportedly bid to $25,000, it did better here at WestWorld where its rarity and shiny paint overcame the effect of its many small shortcomings. Described as having 'manual front disc brakes' which suggests original front drums were replaced with discs without installing the standard vacuum booster, a shortcut the new owner should rectify quickly if only for safety.
