Equipment
Raced at Sebring in 1969 by Innes Ireland and Mike Tillson ... and plenty since. Poor paint, battered nose, bent hood. Comes with ex Sebring 1600cc engine parts but apparently running a later 1600cc HF engine with 45 DCOE Webers and 10.5:1 pistons. Braced roll bar. Looks like its been driven seriously in recent months and should be a happy compromise for anyone who came to Quail Lodge looking to steal the Alfa TZ2 for a hundred grand.
Market commentary
A pocket rocket that has much more performance value per dollar spent than just about anything else offered in Monterey this weekend. A quick, nimble coupe thats happily accepted in lots of places and ready to embarrass plenty of more expensive cars. Its a very good value at this price for a racer. As a show car it leaves lots to be desired and the buyer who worked this post block deal got a great value.
