Equipment
3929cc/370hp, 5-speed, Campagnolo wheels, Pirelli Cinturato tires, power windows.
Condition
Restoration finished in 2008. Maintained carefully since. Small ding under the nose and small cracks at the tip of the engine cover, but the paint is mostly excellent. This green looks fantastic, and works surprisingly well with the blue interior, which shows mild wrinkling on the driver’s seat but little else in terms of age. Panel fit is a bit erratic, especially on the trunk lid. A mostly very good Miura S, restored before these were such high-dollar machines but still given a top treatment.
Market commentary
The P400 S model saw the Miura's first major upgrade in 1969, with vented brake rotors, power windows, optional air conditioning, revised suspension, better tires, and more horsepower. In terms of value, they sensibly slot in above the original P400 and the later P400 SV. This car was a $1.8M no-sale here last year and a $1.7M no-sale in Kissimmee earlier this year. This is a fairly soft price for a Miura S, but with three similar on-the-block offers in 12 months, the seller wisely got the hint and took the money.
