Market commentary
Consignment 7794. This is at least the seventh time this Queen Mother has appeared at auction, starting at Kruse Fall Auburn in 1998 where it was presented in much better condition but failed to sell at a reported high bid of $46,000. Its gone steadily up since then, selling at Barrett Jackson in 1999 for $50,900 and offered various other places, usually in Arizona. It was reported sold in 2006 at Russo and Steele for $78,100, then again in Monterey last August for $121,000. It looked better back in the days when it was freshly restored and detailed by Bard Wolfe. Its quite a history.
