Equipment
3 liter BRM V12 power. Raced only once, by Surtees in Mexico (dnf) in 69; used by George Eaton in practice for 70 Spanish GP (dns cannibalized). Restored for historic racing by Hall & Fowler and ADA Engrg in late 80s but appears to have been little used; freshened in 00 before appearing at Silverstone. Said to be effectively race ready, with spare wheels and tires and spare steering wheel ().
Market commentary
While this result is appropriate for 3 liter GP cars most of them rely on Cosworth V8 power. Only BRM and Ferrari built their own engines, both V12s. This car is good value for its uniqueness and the experience of driving a V12 GP car although it will be expensive to maintain.
