Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

426 425hp Hemi, 4 speed, radio, Magnum 500 wheels, White tail strips and wing. Excellent clearcoat repaint, good interior and chrome. Documented with build sheet. Two owners, one of two known built in this color. Sold as a pair with 70 Superbird 1335.2.

Market commentary

Saturday Prime Time. Charger Daytonas are very rarely seen. They are dedicated NASCAR superspeedway designs, with track noses and tails. A rare color in any circumstances, this is a Hemi 4 speed to boot and it escaped the vinyl roof treatment that afflicted so many Superbirds. Sweet car, but for any realistic portion of the $825,000 paid for the pair it is mind bogglingly expensive.
