Equipment
Despite the catalog, this ex Milton Babe Headley 69 Corvette started life with a Tri Power aluminum head L89. It may have an L88 configured engine today, but it didnt come that way. In any event, its been a race car from new with some solid SCCA history and has been restored like new. Excellent paint. Clean, tidy, very orderly and comes with an old SCCA logbook. Sounds great. No Reserve.
Market commentary
The splitter clearly identifies this Corvette as a bit more evolved than it was when Headley drove it in the 60s 70s era. Although the seller probably was afflicted with the Oh, why did I agree to No Reserve second thoughts after the sale, the Corvette did its part, demonstrating 7 litres of noise on the block. The bidders were apparently insufficiently moved. The new owner got a lot of performance, and a little slice of SCCA history, for the money.
