Market commentary
As Resto Mods go this was a very good one. It brought $82,500 at Russo and Steeles Monterey auction in August 2006, then $79,200 at Barrett Jackson in West Palm Beach in 2007 where it was bought by the seller (who has since added the Vintage Air), a prominent auction impresario from Scottsdale. Known for his heavy foot, he noted, It wasnt as fast as I thought itd be. Hes one of the few people who can be disappointed with a car bought at auction and still flip it for a profit. This is a very well done car. If a Resto Mod is what you want this is a good choice. To put it in perspective, it will hold its value a lot better than a shiny new AMG or BMW M of comparable cost.
