Equipment
4 speed, pushbutton radio, Gold 10 spoke wheels. Good repaint, fair original interior shows age. Pitted interior chrome, worn steering wheel rim, old undercoat on chassis and underbody, good exterior chrome. Reeked of burning clutch lining when it came back from the block, and still smelled a day later. A decent but not impressive driver.
Market commentary
This is a mediocre car, even aside from the vaporized clutch, for which restored car money was paid. By 68 Shelby Mustangs were just dressed up Mustangs and a Mach 1 or GT gave the same performance. Rarity confers only so much value and there isnt even much rarity in a 68 Shelby GT350 Convertible. The price paid here is a expensive by any objective standard although, it must be admitted, substantially less than has been paid for similar GT350 Convertibles recently
