Equipment

Represented as 68 Shelby team backup car, never raced in period. Now prepared and used in historic Trans Am competition with 302 440hp, 370 lb ft engine, full floating 9 Ford rear axle, Detroit Locker, Kar Kraft Watts linkage and front uprights. Includes correct 302 Trans Am tunnel port engine and 2 original KK qtr panels. A serious vintage racer, appears (and sounds) track ready.

Market commentary

The Shelby Registry records this as Car 5 of 7 built, an incomplete car sold as a body shell and eventually completed by the present owner for vintage racing in 1993. Its presence at Auburn brought some welcome thunder and MTBE fumes, but no visible interest from bidders.
