Equipment
Assembled by Terry Drury from a JW Automotive tub and leftover parts with Gurney Weslake heads and Weber carbs on the 289. DNF in the 1968 BOAC 500, Targa Florio and Monza 1000km, filly finishing (34th) in the ADAC 1000km at the Nurburgring but ringing up another DNF at Spa in the 1000km. Wrecked by second owner Ron Fry at Brands Hatch and rebuilt by Bryan Prynn around a new tub (the origil tub still exists ... watch this space) and suspension from 1006. Filly ended up with George Stauffer who had it restored and sold to Rosso et Bianco via Nick Soprano in 1983. Museum displayed since. Decent paint, otherwise clean and in as raced condition, still with the Gurney Weslake heads and Webers. From Peter Kaus Rosso et Biano Collection.
Market commentary
The history of this assembled GT40 is not illumited by great performances or drivers. Its no wonder the assembled multitudes focused their attention on other cars in the Rosso et Bianco offering which had more intriguing stories to tell.
