Condition
#3 Good
Runs and drives well. Flaws not noticeable to passersby. Most common condition.
Amateur silver metallic paint with uneven metallic effect and poor prep prior to clear coat application. New chrome bumpers. Restored brightwork. Fully restored underbody. Engine mods to the 440 include Edelbrock intake, Accel ignition and headers. Not mentioned is if the automatic was upgraded along with the engine to handle the order of magnitude jump in torque. Fully restored interior. Chipped and cracked windshield. Restored, but corners were cut and the car was done for driving rather than presentation.
Market commentary
The replacement engine and mods probably make this car a lot more exciting to drive than it was with the stock 318, but that doesn't make it more valuable and the reported high bid was a more than appropriate offer for a modified, driver quality restoration.
