Equipment
1991/180hp, 5-speed, Fuchs wheels, Pirelli Cinturato tires, fog lights, plastic rear window, woodrim steering wheel, Blaupunkt pushbutton radio.
Condition
Restored by specialists in non-original but period-correct and interesting colors. Represented as matching numbers. Good paint and clean bumpers. Most of the brightwork looks good but the gold badges on the back show light pitting. New-looking wheels. Some slight waviness in the roof. Clean interior. Tidy underneath. Not perfect, but an eye-catching soft window targa.
Market commentary
The Targa body style joined the Porsche lineup in 1967, and initially either a plastic ("soft") or glass rear window were available. Ultimately, the glass proved more practical and obviously more durable, so it became the only choice. But Porsche people love anything that makes a 911 stand out from the other ones, and will pay up by 10% or so for a so-called "soft window Targa." This was an appropriate result to the car's condition and the material out back.
