Condition
#1 Concours
World-class. Could compete in the world’s best Concours d'Elegance events.
From the Ray Skillman collection. Very good paint, body lines and gaps. The brightwork is in very good condition. The rear glass has a few scratches. The engine compartment is extremely clean and the dual snorkels are in excellent condition. The underbody has been redone to a very high quality and factory markings were recreated very well. The interior is completely redone and shows well. A phenomenal restoration a of a rare W-30 car.
Market commentary
Sold at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale in 2005 for $46,750. Not sold here in 2010 at a high bid of $38,000, in 2011 for $34,000 and in 2012 at a high bid of $36,000. This example hasn't gotten any worse and these cars haven't gotten any less valuable, so the result here is downright cheap and the shrewd new owner has a real prize.
