Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Chrome Borranis. Prototype for the Mexico series executed by Frua and the first engine in the new V8 series. Vignale eventually got the contract, however. Excellent older restoration and 80s PB winner, fresh mechanical overhaul. Good cosmetics.

Market commentary

Vignale bodied production Mexicos usually bring under $20,000 so this cars unique coachwork and history bring considerable value. Its actually refreshing to see a Maserati get a decent price for a change.
