Equipment

7th finisher in the 1969 Monaco GP driven by Vic Elford. Freshly restored by Macdonald Race Engineering with new magnesium skins and new engine block to better than new condition and apparently unused since. Very impressive. The last Maserati powered GP car.

Market commentary

Bought at the B J Coys Monaco auction four years ago in rode hard and put away wet condition for FFr 1,307,500 (+199,327; $185,928 then and $236,821 now.) The job thats been done to restore it is an example for others and must have cost most if not all of its low estimate.
