Equipment

289 hipo V8, 4 speed. Panel fits, paint, chrome, interior, glass, rubber, undercar, engine bay are all like new. Has correct Blue Streak white letter tires. This car was the mule for Shelbys 1966 production run. This is a one of a kind automobile, in a private collection for 25 years. The restoration is fresh and above reproach in all areas.

Market commentary

Pre sale estimate was around $150K but two bidders waged a battle for this unique Shelby and the price went over the moon. Short of the four 66 convertibles built, this is the most desirable of the 1966 model run, but the result here is unlikely to be duplicated any time soon.
