Market commentary

RM sold GT4 103, the oldest surviving GT40, with extensive race history and a 4 cam Indy Ford V8 for power, at Monterey in 2005 for $2,502,500 in an avidly fought transaction that set the recent auction market in real (old) GT40s. The result here is an optimistic but not unrealistic, price for this car, a road configured GT40, one of 31 built, with limited use and some modifications.
