Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Chrome spoke Borranis, P W. Unused since restoration in 2005 06. Cheesy, tacky repaint and color choice. Good interior and major chrome. Thin door handles. loose screws securing wheel well liners. Chassis respayed over old undercoat. Sharp, clean, fresh underhood. Oily chassis doesnt look restored or if it is unused is inappropriate. Ferrari Classiche certified.

Market commentary

Reported sold by Sothebys in Zurich in 1993 for $29,848 in tired, used, pre restoration condition. It is difficult to imagine Ferrari having this paint in its 1966 catalog, despite the Ferrari Classiche certification. It took tacky paint to get even a 2+2 for anything approaching a reasonable price in Maranello this Sunday.
