Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Outside laced silver painted Borranis, six Webers reportedly installed at Ferrari. Number 8 of twelve 275 GTB Cs built with extra thin aluminum coachwork, special chassis and 250LM engine. Raced by Pedro Rodriguez at Nassau in 66, by Harley Cluxton at Daytona in 70, then actively in SCCA for several years. Restored like new, with excellent cosmetics, while owned by Obrist, and still in marginally better than new condition.

Market commentary

Unsold last August at Brooks, Quail Lodge, at a reported bid of $980,000. RM sold 9057, a well used race car, for $1,030,000 here last year while Christies got $1,212,500 for 9007 in comparable condition at Pebble in 1999. On the basis of those results, this would seem to be a good value for 9063s history, 6 Webers and exceptional condition.
