Condition
#1 Concours
World-class. Could compete in the world’s best Concours d'Elegance events.
Stunning restoration done to nearly flawless condition from 2006-10. Paint has negligible marks from polishing and is otherwise flawless. Brightwork is spotless. Underbody and engine compartment are immaculate. Interior better than new. So nice it would be frightening to drive, but who could resist?
Market commentary
As full-sized strippers Biscaynes were the cheapest and lightest way to get the L72 in 1966. In that way, they are really what mid-60s muscle is all about. Price was surprising even if it was consistent with the high estimate, but it is nice to see the love shared with the big Chevys -- in both the price paid and the restoration.
