Equipment
Headers, wind wings, grille guard, translucent sun visors. Banged up and awful. Paint peeling in big chips. Rusty chrome wire wheels. An intriguing car but it has a known history of neglect, repaints and modifications that doesnt really classify it as a barn find. Now running and driving, with wire wheels instead of the original Halibrands and no longer its original White. Also has a correct date coded replacement engine block.
Market commentary
This isnt anything like a barn find. Its a sadly neglected 289 Cobra with a bad repaint and swapped block that just looks like its been home to chickens for forty years. The so called originality of this car is largely an illusion and so is the buyers and underbidders vision of its value. Now it will probably be restored, cutting its perceived value in half.
