Market commentary
A measure of the potency and potential of the Chevy big block MK IV engine is that when it was introduced in 1965 it came with a rated 425hp from just 396 cubic inches. Extrapolate that to the output from 31 more cubic inches at 427 cid and this is a magnificent engine. In 1965 power was finally matched by Corvette's new disc brakes. This is choice example even with some age apparent in its older restoration and brought a price that should be rewarding to both buyer and seller.
